…with no need of professional tools or software. This is the simplest method to test your home / office local area network speed performance. You will only need a LAN with at least 2 computers.
And, of course, this free small app – Lan Speed Test.
1. Download and install the app on your local machine.
2. We have to make sure that the second computer has the writing permission on in advanced sharing options, because the software will both copy information from it (download) and to it (upload). Don’t worry – it is a simple bulk of data that will be deleted automatically after the test is concluded.
3. Open the installed Lan Speed Test app, choose the folder from the second computer where to transfer data and click the “start test” button. The test result will be soon available to visualize.
